MICROBE-LIFT/Sludge Away–
Sludge Away is formulated specifically for bottom solids that are slow to degrade. If it is GREEN, it is NOT SLUDGE. It works faster at warm water temperatures; however, it may be used effectively at any temperature, year-round. It is recommended for use with all MICROBE-LIFT beneficial bacteria and enzyme products. Sludge Away provides “rapid & natural sludge and muck removal” 80% faster than competitive products. It binds phosphate. Helps improve pond clarity and contains 100% natural active ingredients. It disperses quickly and is organic and microbial based.
It comes in 32 oz., Gallons, 5-Gallons, and 55-gallon Drums. Sludge Away has a specific density to carry it down to the depths of the pond where organic waste accumulates. If you have a pond with varying depths, it can be applied around the edges to reach those particular areas where the muck and sludge have collected and are difficult to reach. In rock or stone-lined ponds, this is an exceptional product in that it reaches into the crevices where particles of detritus are collecting, unknown and unseen by the pond owner. Use 1 oz. for every 100-gallons of pond water. It will turn the water coffee-colored initially. This will last from 2 to 14 days, depending upon the amount of organic waste to clean in your pond. Do not add more Sludge Away until the color has dissipated. Sludge Away is not an oxygen-grabber during normal water temperatures, but when the weather becomes hot, any oxygen in the water will be needed for the fish.
If you have migratory water fowl that visit your pond, Sludge Away is a “must” to keep fecal coliform e-coli pathogens to a minimum for the safety of your family (and fish). Also, if you have turtles in the pond, you guessed it, use Sludge Away! It is important, for best results, to use it with one of our beneficial bacteria blends.
