These bacteria are compatible with biological filters and UV lights. The UV lights should be turned off for 48-72 hours after the introduction of this product. This will allow the bacteria to progress through their most active growth stage.

MICROBE-LIFT/Special Blend can not neutralize chlorine, chloramine or heavy metals.

MICROBE-LIFT/Special Blend works well with activated carbon and is compatible with copper based products.

Since each bottle of MICROBE-LIFT is grown individually, color variations may exist from bottle to bottle. These variations in color are not indicative of variations in product quality. Any floating particles present are suspended biofilm which slough off the sides of the bottle. Dimpling or expansion of the container is caused by pressure differences resulting from temperature variations due to the fact that the bottle is sealed.

*Saltwater environments - the bacteria in this product will remain effective when used in marine environments with a specific gravity of 1.017 to 1.025. In marine tanks, add the aquarium salt mix and allow the water to circulate for 24 hours, then check and adjust the density. Add the bacteria after the new water has circulated for the 24-hour period.

Saltwater oceans are a highly stable environment with very little fluctuation in pH. The ocean waters dilute fish waste and organic matter. The bacteria in MICROBE-LIFT/Special Blend provides the assistance needed to break down the decaying organic matter and cycle certain elements, e.g. nitrogen and sulfur, etc. which may build up in your tank.

This product is NOT a chemical. It is harmless to humans, animals, fish and plants. Since we cannot control the pre-existing dynamics of individual aquaria, the above information and instructions are subject to many variables. Many situations may be unique in nature.

MICROBE-LIFT/XTreme has been formulated with buffers to help stabilize the treated water's pH and alkalinity (acid-neutralizing capacity). It removes both ammonia and chlorine by chemically reacting with them. Essential electrolytes not only assist in buffering, but also assist in preventing osmotic shock often caused by new water. MICROBE-LIFT/XTreme detoxifies heavy metals (e.g. copper and lead) by both chelation and precipitation.

Recommendations

Perform regular water changes to keep the alkalinity (acid-neutralizing capacity) and pH stable. Use MICROBE-LIFT/XTreme, at the standard dosage rate, to eliminate and control each measured 1 mg/L, or fraction thereof, of total ammonia (= 0.85 mg/L total ammonia-nitrogen). Use a salicylate (indolphenol) type total ammonia test kit. For dissolved oxygen testing use either a DO meter or an indigo carmine test.

Contraindications

Do not use with permanganate-based or chlorite-based treatments.
Nessler's total ammonia tests will give false, high (or off scale) readings.
Winkler dissolved oxygen tests will give false, low (or zero) readings.

An Aqueous Reef Buffer System & an Ionically Balanced Combination of Necessary Trace Elements in One Simple System!

Automatically Sets pH to 8.2 - 8.3 MICROBE-LIFT/Complete is ionically balanced with trace elements for reef systems and will create a buffered system as well. A pH of 8.0 to 8.3 and an alkalinity of 2.9 to 4.0 meq/L. (8 to 11 dKH) is necessary for salt water and reef aquariums (fish only marine aquariums need to maintain 3.5 to 5.5 meq/L. or 10 to 14 dKH) and calcium levels should be at 400 to 450 ppm. Test calcium and alkalinity levels and adjust to your individual system. Do not add more than 0.5 mL per gallon per 12 hour period. Add calcium daily and this product for optimal results. If magnesium is low use MICROBE-LIFT/Magnesium Supplement. Regular water changes are recommended. You should use the MICROBE-LIFT line of reef products to simultaneously replace any minerals that are low. Optimum water conditions are a necessity for good reef systems. Where possible start with R/O water. If tap water is used be sure to condition the water with MICROBE-LIFT/XTreme or MICROBE-LIFT/Dechlorinator +. Routine water changes are a necessity and Alkalinity are an important part of the reef system. Always use MICROBE-LIFT/R/O Water Conditioner for all water changes and start ups.

*Saltwater environments - the bacteria in this product will remain effective when used in marine environments with a specific gravity of 1.017 to 1.025. In new marine tanks, add the aquarium salt mix and allow the water to circulate for 24 hours, then check and adjust the density. Add the bacteria after the water has circulated for the 24-hour period. Saltwater oceans are a highly stable environment with very little fluctuation in pH. The ocean waters dilute fish waste and organic matter. The bacteria in MICROBE-LIFT/TheraP provides the assistance needed to break down the decaying organic matter and cycle certain elements, e.g. carbon and nitrogen, etc. which may build up in your tank. MICROBE-LIFT/TheraP has a hydrogen sulfide odor, which will dissipate quickly. All MICROBE-LIFT bacterial products may be used together. However when using multiple MICROBE-LIFT bacterial products, reduce the dosage rate of the 2nd product by 50%. After administering the bacteria, monitor your pH. Since each bottle of MICROBE-LIFT is grown individually, color variations may exist from bottle to bottle. These variations in color are not indicative of variations in product quality. Any floating particles present are suspended biofilm which slough off the sides of the bottle. Dimpling or expansion of the container is caused by pressure differences resulting from temperature variations due to the fact that the bottle is sealed This product is NOT a chemical. It is harmless to humans, animals, fish and plants. Since we cannot control the pre-existing dynamics of individual aquaria, the above information and instructions are subject to many variables. Many situations may be unique in nature.

It should be used when setting up a new tank, making water changes, when adding new turtles. MICROBE-LIFT/Extreme Water Conditioner removes both ammonia and chlorine by chemically reacting with them. MICROBE-LIFT/Extreme Water Conditioner detoxifies heavy metals (e.g. copper and lead) by both chelation and precipitation.

Recommendations

Perform regular water changes to keep the alkalinity (acid-neutralizing capacity) and pH stable.
